The new Watchdog VIPrm is the answer to the corrosion professional's need for a simple, reliable, attractively priced CP rectifier remote monitor.
The unit comes from the factory configured to measure rectifier volts, rectifier amps, pipe-to-soil potential, and AC mains detection. In addition to the 3 analog measurement channels, and the AC power monitoring channel, there is a dry contact digital input that can be used to monitor a door alarm, valve position, or any similar status monitoring application. This robust, easy to install, monitor system is designed specifically for efficient, cost-effective CP rectifier monitoring applications The Watchdog VIPrm is designed for "always on" operation, powered by an external low voltage source (12-25 VAC or 10-35 Vdc), such as a rectifier secondary tap or a solar power system.
Tthe VIP+ Monitor System incorporates all of the economy and convenience of the VIPrm unit in a system with an additional analog channel input, and the flexibility of all four analog channels programmable to monitor any of the standard input ranges (voltage, current, or potential). Additionally, the lithium backup battery may also be used as the primary power source in "report only" battery operation mode for applications where an external power source is unavailable. The VIP+ is ideal for dual rectifier sites, and multiple pipeline applications.
