SCADA Host Communications Processor (HCP2)

"Minimizes Bandwidth Usage by Utilizing Report-by-Exception Messaging Got bandwidth? Need more? The HCP, when used in conjunction with the Elecsys Director SCG, frees up valuable bandwidth by transmitting only information that has changed (report by exception) to the SCADA host system. In addition to making existing communications networks more efficient, the HCP is able to translate multiple protocols, allowing the use of several RTU options in the field."

HCP2 FEATURES

  • Provides a transparent interface between host and RTU’s over many forms of communication
  • Immediately sends commands received from the SCADA host to RTU’s, flow computers, etc…
  • Accepts and caches data received from the RTU’s and flow computers to multiple hosts
  • RBE protocol minimizes the data bandwidth requirements of the data network
  • Provide diagnostic information about the network and the RTU data
  • Automatic communication failover, primary and secondary network route control, managed automatically or manually
  • Field protocols don’t have to match protocols at SCADA host
  • Live data display with time stamp and receive count per point
  • Data spoofing allows multiple SCADA hosts to see same data from HCP without increasing data bandwidth
  • Redundant HCP’s can be activated by SCADA host polling
  • Weekly secondary network route testing without affecting primary network route
  • Capable of accessing an SSH proxy server
  • Virtual RTU mapping allows all field devices to share common nodes
