Position Summary: The Vice President of Manufacturing is responsible for the leadership, functional management and overall coordination of all manufacturing operations at Elecsys. The position reports directly to the President and is a member of the company's Executive Team. The Vice President of Manufacturing is an integral player in achieving the company's revenue and profit goals.

Major Responsibilities

  • Establish short- and long-term production plans and strategies for the Company in collaboration with other members of the Executive Team.

  • EEstablish annual and monthly production objectives and operating budgets in support of the Company's long-term strategic plans and provide ongoing forecasts of anticipated results.

  • ESet appropriate metrics and measure ongoing operating results to proactively manage production processes and individual team member performance.

  • EMentor and train multiple department managers and supervisors to achieve objectives.

  • EOptimize and manage departmental operating procedures, processes, and policies to achieve operating margin, delivery, and quality performance targets.

  • EManage and expand indirect sales channels and technology partnerships.

  • EAcquire detailed knowledge of product logistic, production, and functional requirements.

  • ECoordinate new product launches with the Business Development and Engineering departments.

  • EOccasional domestic travel for vendor, technology, or C-level customer meetings.

Skills/Requirements

  • At least 10 years of manufacturing management experience in established organizations manufacturing comparable industrial products.

  • Five plus years of experience managing and coordinating automated electronic manufacturing equipment and processes.

  • Detailed practical knowledge of electronic technology and systems.

  • A proven record of achieving production, delivery, and quality objectives in a growing technology or industrial product organization.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills to build, inspire and retain a high performance operations team.

  • Proven ability to plan and manage at both the operational and strategic levels.

  • Ability to network with other organizations to execute mutually profitable opportunities to optimize production and adopt new manufacturing technologies.

OEM Sales Manager

Position Summary: The OEM Sales Manager is responsible for initiating new contacts and building business relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers. The successful candidate must be able to identify and understand an OEM’s requirements and specify custom Elecsys technology solutions to address those needs. The OEM Sales Manager’s goal is to expand sales of custom electronic products to OEM’s in the North American market.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage new major client accounts.

  • Acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of various OEM markets, overall technology industry direction, and competitor and customer strategies.

  • Systematically identify and qualify sales prospects and win new business.

  • Assist in establishing annual and monthly individual sales objectives in coordination with the Company's long-term strategic plans.

  • Manage annual and monthly personal sales goals and maintain accurate forecasts.

  • Establish product and customer sales strategies for the Company in collaboration with other members of the Executive Team.

  • Establish annual and monthly sales objectives in support of the Company's long-term strategic plans and provide ongoing forecasts of anticipated sales results.

  • Moderate travel (30%-40%) within North America.

Skills/Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience selling to established OEM organizations serving comparable industrial customers and markets.

  • A proven record of achieving sales growth objectives in technology or industrial markets.

  • Demonstrated sales skills to identify, qualify, and close industrial customer sales.

  • Proven ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.

  • Outstanding consultative selling skills with experience penetrating large industrial organizations and developing relationships with key decision makers.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners.

Product Support Technician

Primary markets include energy production and distribution, agriculture, water management, safety and security systems and transportation. The Elecsys culture values innovation, reliability, quality, and customer support. Elecsys is subsidiary of Lindsay Corporation (NYSE: LNN) based in Omaha, Nebraska. We are looking for experienced Firmware Engineers with an Emphasis on Embedded Linux to add to our growing team.
The Product Support Specialist will work directly with customers to help resolve any Hardware or Software issues regarding operation and maintenance of remote monitoring products and ruggedized hand-held computers. The position also requires travel to customer’s sites to install equipment and troubleshoot problems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • After a training period, travel will be required to perform installs and troubleshoot problems in the field.

  • Answer incoming calls from customers concerning technical support issues in a professional, polite, and courteous manner then provide prompt resolution.

  • Follow up all requests in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Strong PC skills with Database Programs, MS Word, Excel.

  • Maintain diplomacy when addressing escalated matters.

  • Interact with the engineering and production departments to improve product reliability.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • AA Degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent military training or experience is required.

  • Tech Support experience is preferred.

  • Superior interpersonal skills for dealing with customer problems.

  • Experience in the test, troubleshooting and repair of digital and analog circuits is preferred.

  • Must be willing to travel as required.

  • Must be a self starter that is persistent in meeting deadlines and working on their own.

  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
