Position Summary: The Vice President of Sales is responsible for the leadership, functional management and overall coordination of all global sales initiatives at Elecsys. The position reports directly to the CEO and is a member of the company's Executive Team. The Vice President of Sales is an integral player in achieving the company's sales, revenue and profitability goals.

Major Responsibilities

  • Establish product and customer sales strategies for the Company in collaboration with other members of the Executive Team.

  • Establish annual and monthly sales objectives in support of the Company's long-term strategic plans and provide ongoing forecasts of anticipated sales results.

  • Set appropriate metrics and measure results to lead the Sales Team by proactively managing the sales process and individual team member performance.

  • Mentor and train Sales Team members to achieve objectives.

  • Refine and manage the department policies, process and sales methodology.

  • Expand the direct Sales Team through recruiting, training, and developing new members.

  • Establish and manage compensation and incentive programs for the Sales Team.

  • Manage and expand indirect sales channels and technology partnerships.

  • Acquire detailed knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors and customer strategies.

  • Coordinate advertising and promotional programs with the Marketing department.

  • Coordinate new product launches with the Product Development and Marketing departments.

  • Moderate travel with Sales Team members for C-level customer meetings and training.

Skills/Requirements

  • At least 10 years professional sales experience in established organizations serving comparable industrial customers and markets.

  • Five plus years in senior sales leadership roles in established organizations serving comparable industrial customers and markets.

  • A proven record of achieving sales growth objectives in technology or industrial markets.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills to build, inspire and retain a highly successful sales team.

  • Proven ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.

  • Outstanding consultative selling skills with experience penetrating large industrial organizations and developing relationships with key decision makers.

  • Ability to network with other organizations to uncover and execute mutually profitable sales partnering opportunities.

    Product Support Technician

    THE OPPORTUNITY: The Product Support Technician will work directly with customers to help resolve any Hardware or Software issues regarding operation and maintenance of remote monitoring products and ruggedized hand-held computers. The position also requires travel to customer's sites to install equipment and troubleshoot problems.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • After a training period, travel will be required to perform installs and troubleshoot problems in the field.

    • Answer incoming calls from customers concerning technical support issues in a professional, polite, and courteous manner then provide prompt resolution.

    • Follow up all requests in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

    • Strong PC skills with Database Programs, MS Word, Excel.

    • Maintain diplomacy when addressing escalated matters.

    • Interact with the engineering and production departments to improve product reliability.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • AA Degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent military training or experience is required.

    • Tech Support experience is preferred.

    • Superior interpersonal skills for dealing with customer problems.

    • Experience in the test, troubleshooting and repair of digital and analog circuits is preferred.

    • Must be willing to travel as required.

    • Must be a self starter that is persistent in meeting deadlines and working on their own.

    • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

      THE OPPORTUNITY: We are looking for a full time Mobile (Android and iPhone) Software Engineer who is interested in working on a small team in a fast paced environment in Olathe, KS. If you are passionate about building amazing applications utilizing the latest technologies, then this is your opportunity. At Elecsys, you will work with engineers who design and build devices here at our Olathe headquarters. These little devices live all around the globe and communicate from remote locations via satellite and other mainstream carries (AT&T, Verizon, etc.). We design and build the modems; our devices collect data in extreme locations, and transmit the data to our backend server. If you want to work with engineers who are free-spirited, creative, and even funny, who like to make plans to take over the world, we want your help.

      Major Responsibilities

      • Participate in the ground-up new mobile software designs that complement the current suite of applications.

      • Iterate rapidly and work collaboratively with product owners, developers, and other members of the development team.

      • Partner with QA by writing unit and automated tests.

      DESIRED SKILLS

      • Experience in development for mobile devices as well as in-depth knowledge of iOS SDK or Android SDKs / NDKs.

      • Solid knowledge of Java/Swift.

      • Experience building rich and complex apps that delight users

      • Experience working on developing backend API’s and a strong understanding of REST API Design

      • Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, and offer suggestions to improve processes.

      • Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and works well in small team environments.

      • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

        • Five plus years of experience managing and coordinating automated electronic manufacturing equipment and processes.
